The PAT400 series, a successor to the well-received PAT300 series, is a line of portable appliance testers with comprehensive database functionality. These testers bring a new level of convenience and efficiency to PAT testing by utilising on-board test results. Representing the next generation in downloading portable appliance testers, they thoroughly assess portable electrical equipment in accordance with the latest edition of the Code of Practice for the In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.
The series comprises three distinct products:
PAT410: Designed for users' content with bonding tests at 200 mA, this is the smallest and lightest in the series, weighing only 2.7 kg. It offers a low-profile, 230 V-only solution without the additional weight needed for 110 V operation. The PAT410 includes a database capacity for storing up to 10,000 test results.
PAT420: This model provides earth bond testing at three currents (200 mA, 10 A, and 25 A) and supports both 230 V and 110 V operation. With the same extensive memory and downloading capabilities as the PAT410, it is ideal for those engaged in full-time industrial or commercial PAT testing.
PAT450: Positioned at the top of the range, the PAT450 incorporates all the features of the PAT410 and PAT420. In addition to the three-bond tests and 230 V/110 V operation, this tester offers 1.5 kV and 3.0 kV flash testing, making it the perfect tool for hire and repair workshops. All products in the PAT400 series boast a high-duty cycle, with a design tailored for swift testing, user-friendly operation, and prolonged use throughout the day. Notably, the series features a unique fast-restart function, allowing the tester to resume instantly from the same menu after being moved from one room to another. This feature significantly saves time, enabling users to conduct more tests per day.
