The RayTemp 38 is a professional infrared thermometer designed in a gun shape with dual laser dot alignment for accurate targeting. It boasts a 50:1 optic ratio, allowing users to measure small targets from a distance, ensuring safety and comfort. By pointing the thermometer at the surface, pulling the trigger, and reading the temperature instantly, users can measure hard-to-reach items with ease.
This infrared thermometer has a wide measurement range of -59.9 to 999.9°C with a resolution of 0.1°C (-9.9 to 199.9°C) or 1°C. The auto power-off feature turns off the instrument after 60 seconds to preserve battery life, although it can be disabled if needed. The backlit custom LCD display is clear and easy to read, indicating both temperature and emissivity. The four-button keypad allows users to select modes such as max, min, differential, and average temperatures, view max/min high and low alarms, and adjust the emissivity from 0.1 to 1.0 in 0.01 increments (default set at 0.95).
The RayTemp 38 is a versatile tool, functioning as two instruments in one by incorporating a thermocouple socket that accepts a type K thermocouple probe (probe sold separately).
