The TempTest 1 Smart thermometer boasts a large, easily readable digital display, offering precise temperature readings ranging from -49.9 to 299.9 °C with a 0.1 °C/°F resolution and an accuracy of ±0.4 °C (-49.9 to 199.9 °C). To conserve battery life, the thermometer automatically powers off after ten minutes, a feature that can be disabled. Encased in a waterproof IP67 housing with an ergonomic rubber seal, both incorporating 'Biomaster' additive to reduce bacterial growth, this thermometer is not only waterproof but also one of the fastest contact thermometers available.
With a remarkable response time, the TempTest 1 can measure the true temperature of a product in just three seconds. It indicates low battery (icon) and open circuit when applicable. Powered by two AAA batteries with a minimum life expectancy of 5000 hours without the backlight, the backlight function utilizes ETI Smart Technology, activating only when ambient light requires it. Supplied with an integral, permanently attached, stainless steel food penetration probe (Ø3.3 x 80 mm) with a fast response tip, the TempTest 1 includes a FREE holster/wall bracket designed for secure and convenient storage.
The automatic 360° rotational display feature allows the user to read the temperature in any position—left hand, right hand, vertical, or horizontal. This rotation can be 'locked' by the user if needed. The TempTest 1 is protected by UK Patent No. GB 2504936 and USA Patent No. US 9470560. Also available with a permanently attached hand-held, fast response probe is the TempTest 2. For remote temperature monitoring, there is a Bluetooth version, the TempTest Blue.
