The MicroCal 1 thermocouple simulator streamlines the regular verification of thermometer accuracy, making it a standard practice. This calibrator is specifically designed to emulate a user-selected temperature for testing thermocouple types K, J, T, R, N, S, and E thermometers, eliminating the need for specialized equipment or conversion tables. Additionally, the MicroCal 1 Plus calibrator not only measures but also simulates temperature.
Featuring a custom 10mm LCD display with an alphanumeric display line for user prompts during parameter changes, the MicroCal 1 offers various selectable parameters, including °C/°F, auto power off (enable/disable), CJC (internal/external), and display contrast adjustment. An optional lead set is available, consisting of seven leads—one for each thermocouple type K, J, T, R, N, S, and E. Each PVC lead is one meter long and equipped with two miniature thermocouple plugs.
The MicroCal 1 comes with a one-meter PVC type K thermocouple lead with miniature connectors and a five-point (type K) UKAS Certificate of Calibration, providing information on deviations from standards at different points.
