MPU690 - Proving Unit
- 5 stepped nominal output voltages
- Automatic operation
- High output power suitable for test lamps
- Extended battery life
- Magnetic base
- Rugged case
The MPU690 is a portable and battery-operated proving unit designed to validate the functionality of two-pole voltage detectors. Operating within a 50 to 690 V voltage range in five distinct steps, this device ensures safety during use.
Upon activation, it begins with a 690 V output, gradually decreasing through each voltage step before automatically turning off. LED indicators display the individual voltage steps, power status, and battery depletion.
An innovative feature of the MPU690 is its automatic power-on function triggered by the insertion of voltage tester probes into the output terminals, producing a 50 Hz output voltage mimicking the AC mains supply.
With a robust output power rating and well-spaced output terminals, the MPU690 can verify the accuracy of voltage indicators utilising lamps for operation. The unit's durable case includes a magnetic base for convenient placement during use.
It's important to note that the MPU690 is not recommended for use with multimeters.
