Description
The Megger TPT420 voltage tester is made to offer electricians and electrical engineers a user-friendly instrument for voltage indication. Even when the batteries are depleted, the meter remains vigilant in alerting operators to perilous test voltages. Featuring both LCD and LED displays, the TPT420 facilitates AC and DC voltage measurement, ranging from 12 to 1000 V AC and up to 1500 V DC. Additionally, it includes a continuity function within the 0 to 500 kΩ range, accompanied by an acoustic sounder for enhanced safety.
Specifically designed to operate below the tripping threshold of devices like RCDs, RCBOs, and Safety Breakers, the TPT420 minimises the risk of unintentional disconnection when testing between phase and earth on protected circuits. The simplified phase rotation indication test eliminates the need for test probe crossing. The instrument is also equipped to perform a single-pole voltage indication test.
With a built-in bright LED torch, the TPT420 ensures visibility in poorly lit environments. It boasts a safety rating of CAT IV 1000 V, features an IP64 housing, and adheres to the latest IEC/EN 61243-3 and DIN VDE 0682-401 standards. Standard accessories include GS38 probe tip shrouds, protective storage, and a carry pouch, ensuring compliance. While initially designed for electrical installations, the versatility of the TPT420 extends to various applications, including automotive, fire alarm, and solar/PV systems, wherever voltage and continuity measurements are essential.
